Stopping to hunt & capture insects that are hiding in foliage or inside rolled up dead leaves.$ $Female\immature Ruby-throated Hummingbird, on her\his way to Mexico\Central America, fueling up on nature's jet fuel - 100% native plant nectar, in this case Cardinal Flower. It's liquid sunshine, a product of Nature's ingenious food web that uses energy from sunshine to combine water & carbon dioxide into a digestible sugary food source. It's sweet, between 8% & 50% sugar, Coke is 10% for reference. Unlike Coke, it is infused with healthy vitamins, oils, & amino acids.$
